Now if you are looking for more, then you found it. Our MMA Pro program takes your desire to test martial skill in live situations while minimizing the risk of serious injury. The testing grounds for MMA are events such as the UFC, the WEC, Affliction, Elite XC, and many others. These events are sporting events, and, like all sporting events, they have rules. So, in one sense, MMA is defined by rules. However, MMA is also a philosophy. The philosophy is simple: if it works, keep it; if it doesn’t work, throw it out.

MMA fighters believe that the way you train is the way you fight. Because we fight hard, we train hard, and we become technical in all aspects of fighting: from striking to grappling, from fighting on our feet to fighting on the ground, and everything in between. To grow as martial artists, we test our skills against each other in live sparring. We wear protective gear, but we don’t fight for “points,” and we don’t stop fighting if someone trips or gets taken down.
Here at M.A.X. Mixed Martial Arts, we feel that a supportive and safe environment is essential to personal growth. There is no room for egos, so if you have one, you need to check it at the door. We are not just learning how to fight. We are training our bodies for speed, power, endurance, and flexibility; and we are training our minds to remain calm even in the most difficult situations. But above all, we are training to have fun.
